Strike Rate vs ROI

Why a high strike rate and a high ROI are different things in horse-racing tipping.

ROI compares profit or loss with the amount staked over the measured period.

Read the denominator

A percentage without total stakes, number of bets and time period can be misleading. ROI should be interpreted alongside drawdowns, average odds, strike rate and record completeness.

Past ROI is not a forecast

Historical ROI describes a recorded period. It does not establish what future followers will achieve, especially if available odds or market conditions differ.
