A useful tipster evaluation separates marketing from evidence.
1. Look for advance proofing
A result is more credible when the selection was securely recorded before the event. A retrospective list of winners is weaker evidence because it does not establish what was actually advised in advance.
2. Inspect the whole record
Look beyond a profitable week or month. Check the length of the record, number of bets, losing runs, staking method and whether results include every advised selection.
3. Test odds realism
A theoretical record can overstate what followers could achieve if the quoted price disappeared immediately or was not broadly obtainable. Note the time a selection was sent and whether the advised odds were practically available.
4. Compare like with like
Strike rate alone cannot tell you profitability. ROI, total stakes, average odds and bet type provide necessary context. Level-stakes figures can sometimes make comparisons easier, but they still depend on accurate underlying prices and records.
5. Read the marketing critically
Guaranteed success, income-style framing and cherry-picked profit periods deserve particular scrutiny. Past results do not guarantee future outcomes.
